Prostitution case: 7-day remand for accused

Margao: After an arrest on Thursday for their alleged involvement in running a prostitution racket in Goa, the two accused New Delhi residents have now been remanded to a seven-day police custody, informed Margao women’s cell police inspector Loveleen Dias, on Friday. LPI Dias told TOI, “The duo, 41-year-old Vinod Kumar Yadav and 61-year-old Mahendra Singh Kharenanda, was arrested after the police decoyed them with a client. They were caught red-handed at around 3.45pm on Thursday near the South Goa administrative complex, when they arrived in a car to supply girls to prospective customers. Three victim girls – two from Mumbai and another from Kolkata – all aged between 24 and 27 years – were rescued. Further inquiries are in progress.”
